“Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of
things which matter least”
As I make my list of successes and failures for the
week I realize that the things that I want to be letting go of or cutting
back on are taking over the time I need to work on the things I want to improve
on. Basically I spent two full days preparing for meetings at the food bank and
did not get anything I wanted to do done as a result. This also left me angry
and frustrated with the people and the job which impacted the rest of my week.
Anita and Bobbi Jo came to visit for the weekend
which in the end was loads of fun but I certainly had way too many stupid
issues along the way....
Before they came I managed to get the entire house
organized, my halloween decorations brought out and most of them set up.
I cleaned up the unfinished area of the basement
and decided that it can be used as a rec-room for the kids to use for parties
and I will be able to put the futon in there so at least it won't go to waste when
I buy new furniture for downstairs.
At the end of the weekend I managed to finally re-cover my kitchen
chairs. I can't believe I did not do that sooner. They look great and it was
fast and easy to do.
